If your company works with Cisco equipment then it is a great idea to get trained up in Cisco.

There are a lot of Cisco courses out there, where you can get certifications and so it is a great thing to look around to do.

They will vary in price and also time. You can do some courses which are very intense and you will get the qualifications quickly. These are great if you need a qualification to get a job or you do not have much time but take on new information easily.

The longer term courses are good for people who need longer to absorb information or just do not have the time to commit to an intensive training schedule.

So think hard about whether it is worth you enrolling on a Cisco course and getting your knowledge up to date with a certificate to prove it. It could just help you to keep your job, get a pay rise or promotion or even find a great new job.

Qualifications are always useful and these are particularly good because most companies use Cisco products. It could be worth checking if the company that you work for or want to work do use Cisco products before you do the training, but chances are that they will.
